Last night, February 11th, representatives of the City of Edinburgh Council gave a presentation to Juniper Green Community Council at a very full public meeting held in Tanners' pub. The result was that the study as it stands shows that at this time the site of Curriemuirend Park is not economically viable for development for housing - but the final decision will be up to the City's Planning Committee who will decide in May. The consultants giving the report had estimated the site would take 180 housing units, together with a play area and allotments. The next stage of the process is for officals to present the findings to the LDP Steering Group.
