Juniper Green Community Council in collaboration with Transition Edinburgh Pentlands will hold an Energy Fair on Saturday 30th July from 2pm – 4pm in the halls of Juniper Green Parish Church on the Lanark Road.
There will be plenty of stalls with information for residents. For example you will be able to find out about generating your own electricity to earn incentives, or renewable energy for local consumers. Receive advice on house insulation and hear about how wood burning stoves help reduce use of fossil fuel. Even renovating traditional sash windows can make a great difference to your heating bills.
There will be talks too. What action should we take - and how can we involve all individuals, organisations and sectors - to make a sustainable city? Let’s discuss a vision for a repair and reuse centre in Edinburgh.
Come along to this free event and make your voice heard.
The organisers are grateful for the financial support for this event from Mark Porteous of Juniper Green and Colinton.
