Miss Graham Watson returned to Juniper Green in 1975 to take part in the 50th birthday celebrations of the Brownie pack she had founded in 1925

Miss Mary Bryce of Whitelaw farm was a stalwart leader of the Brownies from the 1930s and for some thirty years thereafter. Irene Sharp helped Mary with one pack which met in the Village Hall in the 1940s. From 1965 until the early1980s Miss Janette Porteous was a leader of the 74ath Edinburgh Brownie pack. She started as Tawny Owl with Miss Mary Bryce as the Brown Owl. Then, Janette became Brown Owl for the pack with Miss Margaret Orr as Tawny Owl. The pack met in Juniper Green School Hall and at that time Mrs Lyall also helped. In addition, several Guides assisted as part of their Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme. There were two packs around this time, one met on Tuesdays and the other on Fridays.

The Juniper Green Brownies celebrated their 50th anniversary in 1975 and Miss Graham Watson came back to the area to join in the festivities.
