A Virtual Tour around Present Day Juniper Green

Looking across Lanark Road to the butcher's shop

The Bronze Age discoveries in Juniper Green include a skull of a man whose bones have undergone analysis to work out from which part of the country he may have originated and what his diet might have been. It is thought that the remains were found in 1851 in a garden at the rear of 572 Lanark Road. Cynics today think he may have died waiting to cross the road at this point!
