Currie Parish Church

The village grew in Colinton parish but on the eastern end of Currie Muir. Indeed some of the older maps call the area "Curriemuirend". Currie was the neighbouring parish with a church of very ancient origin. This building, however, dates from 1784. Some of our people worked in Currie while living and worshipping in Colinton.

Some things have changed in Juniper Green and some have not. Our strong links with Currie remain: many of our children go to secondary school, attend the doctors or use the library there: we are still split between Currie and Colinton. We still look to the older communities for many of our services.
