A map of this virtual tour around the historical sites of Juniper Green

This picture shows the map of our route. Catch your breath and enjoy the view from Torphin. But, turn please and come back down. Admire Woodhall farm as you come. It produced the food for the house, farmed by the Denham/ Denholm family in 1700 (the spelling can vary!) This is the same family that ran the corn mill. When you get back to the road, turn left and walk along onto a muddy track in front of Woodhall House, past the rookery which so disturbed Sir John's last restless nights that he paid one of his servants to shoot them! Join Blinkbonny Road and so back onto Lanark Road although temporarily we are outside the village's boundary.
