Sluices at Woodhall Paper Mill

Only its magnificent sluices were left in the 1990s.

Snuff has snuffed it, paper has folded and only corn was left in 1990. By 2006 there were few jobs left in the village beyond those in the shops and the nursing home.

Turn back again and follow the river down to the little foot bridge, cross the river and climb up the path on the other side through the trees until you hit the road. Turn right and walk on past the farm.
